One year ago Mike Saitone, Knights' Electric's TEGG Services
Senior Sales Representative, presented BoDean Company, Inc. with a proposal for TEGG Services
. The BoDean Company signed a three-year contract. |

The timing was good for BoDean, an asphalt manufacturing company in Santa Rosa, because they were preparing to
install new equipment at their production facility at 1060 Maxwell Drive.
Knights' Electric's TEGG Services performed an electrical inspection of the facility at that time, made repairs and then installed 35 motor controllers for BoDean's asphalt manufacturing process. |
|
Recently the annual inspection by Knights' Electric's TEGG Services
was performed at BoDean's hot plant. The final report is nearing completion and the preliminary indication is that there will be minimal repair work. Ben English, Knights' Electric's TEGG Services Project Manager, who is overseeing the project says, "At this time it looks like we will just be looking at a few breakers." |

One of the advantages of
TEGG Services
for production facilities like BoDean's asphalt plant is being proactive towards inspecting the performance of the electrical system and the equipment it powers. "If the plant had to shut down temporarily because of an electrical failure when they were in the middle of a highway paving job it could be a disaster," says English, "Instead of that happening we can now schedule our repair work, which addresses potential future problems, when the plant is not in production during a down time."
Knights' Electric's TEGG Services is also doing work at BoDean's Mark West Quarry with more proactive inspections, evaluations and repair work. |

Asti Winery is undergoing another expansion project. The storied winery that dates back to the 1880's is adding
a new production building and crush area to the existing facility that last year crushed 24,000 tons of grapes. The new 50,000 square foot production building has 84 fermentation
tanks. |

Knights' Electric installed a 480-volt, 1600-amp service for the power distribution in this new building. They
also installed fluorescent high bay lighting for the tank room, barrel room and crush pad. In the tank room Knights' Electric installed power control wiring for the refrigeration
cooling system. In the barrel room they installed a transformer and sub panels along with the wiring for the air cooling system. |

Knights' Electric installed the power control wiring for the pump-over control panels they built and
installed for the fermentation tanks. |
|
Knights' Electric also is installing the conduit wiring around each tank for the thermostats that control tank
temperatures. They also manufactured and installed 11 power stanchions
with two 30-amp, 480-volt outlets, one 60-amp, 480-volt outlet and a 120-volt outlet. |

On the crush pad Knights' Electric is installing the motor control center for the crush equipment, which
includes two state-of-the-art Dieme wine presses. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in time for – you guessed it – the 2006 crush around September first. |
