Knights' Electric, Inc.'s TEGG Services
recently began work with Sleepy Hollow Management, owner and manager of Fountaingrove Corporate Centre located at 3510 Unocal Place off Fountaingrove Parkway in Santa Rosa. The building is a three-story, 60,000 square foot multi-tenant structure.
|
|
Susan Lyon, Property Manager for Sleepy Hollow Management, originally met with Mike Saitone, Senior Sales Representative for Knights' Electric's TEGG Services to discuss the possibility of assessing the building's electrical system
for safety and power efficiency. "We like to be proactive with our properties and make sure our clients have clean power without experiencing any interruptions of service as well as
being certain our electrical system is prepared for future build outs," says Lyon. |

Sleepy Hollow Management had previously worked with an electrician who performed infrared scanning of the
electrical system. "The TEGG process goes well beyond that and provides building owners with a higher degree of confidence in its electrical systems' integrity," says Lyon. Knights' Electric's TEGG Services recently completed the assessment and analysis of the electrical system at the site. "We also performed a cleaning of the main switchgear
and all of the sub panels," says Saitone, "We'll compile a report to share with Sue that shows our findings and any anomalies we discover." Part two of this article will address the
results of Knights' Electric's TEGG Services' report for Sleepy Hollow Management. |

"Groth Winery has a classic Spanish Mission style," says Richard Freitas, Project Manager for Knights' Electric, "The owners have picked out some very stylish lighting fixtures for the winery and the electrical
wiring is hidden to give it a clean look." The barrel room and fermentation room, for example, have high bay lighting in three different fixture styles. The offices, lab and V.I.P.
tasting room have recessed lighting. |
|
Knights' Electric installed a new distribution panel and re-fed the main switchgear by bringing the power lines
underground from the PG&E power pole that powered the original winery. That PG&E pole is on the other side of Oakville Crossing Road so a lateral boring procedure was
necessary to tunnel under the road and trenching went over 200 yards to a transformer. A few hundred additional yards of trenching was completed to bring power to the crush pad.

The crush pad is outside along the wall of the fermentation room. The presses are permanently set under a
lighted eve extension of the building's roof. The auger, stemmer and shaker table are portable. Knights' Electric built a portable, covered, plug-in station for the equipment along
with motor controls for the crush equipment and an interlock system to shut down all of the equipment in case of emergency. |
|
When phase one is completely in the near future, phase two of this project will include a new tasting room and
two boutique barrel rooms.

First it was the retail showroom on the first floor. Then it was the office on the second floor. Now the third
floor has a high–end showroom for St. Dizier Design, which over time has filled up the Serifem Building at the corner of Matheson and Center Street on the downtown square in
Healdsburg. |
|
The Serifem Building was completed
in the fall of 2002. The exterior design fits into the historic architecture of the surrounding structures on the Healdsburg Square while having its own distinctive style that features a second floor corner balcony that overlooks the square and an elevator that travels to all three floors.
