KNIGHTS' ELECTRIC'S PRODUCTS
Knights' Electric Offers Power Saving Units for Homes & Businesses

Knights' Electric, Inc.is now an official dealer for Power-Save, a power saving unit that has applications for residential homes and commercial businesses.  Power-Save serves as a noise filter, surge suppressor and can lower electrical energy bills up to 25%.

Power-Save 1200

The Power-Save 1200 is used for residential applications.  On average it can lower electrical bills 8% to 11% on average.  It can, in some cases, save up to 25% in electrical bills.   The Power-Save 1200 can produce bigger savings when the home has numerous motors in use, such as large appliances and air conditioners.

The Power-Save 3200 and 3400 are used for commercial applications.  The 3200 is used for 200-amp sub panels and the 3400 for 400-amp sub panels.  The savings for electrical energy bills can be as high as 25%.  Again, the higher savings can be attained in facilities that have numerous motors in operation.

The Power-Save 3200 and 3400 are ideal for wineries, especially during the crush season, when compressors, pumps, augers, wine presses and conveyors are running continuously.  Motors also run cooler because Power-Save filters the electrical power that feeds them.  Power-Save enhances the capacity of the existing electrical system it is applied to by balancing the out load to the PG&E meter.

Knights’ Electric will analyze home and commercial electrical systems, make recommendations and install the Power-Save units for their clients and customers.   Power-Save units have a 20-year design life and come with a 5-year warranty.

Oliver & Company is nearing the completion of the Geyserville Retail Building in downtown Geyserville, a two-story, 7,383 square foot structure that will have five or more tenants depending on the final configuration.

Knights’ Electric’s commercial department brought in the power with a 600-amp, three-phase main service and installed the utility substructures and sub panels. They have also completed the core electrical system and lighting for the hallways, bathrooms and the exterior.  Knights’ Electric is now working on tenant improvements.

Art Gallery

Downstairs consists of a wine tasting shop and an art gallery.  Knights’ Electric installed suspended track lighting fixtures in the art gallery and will also install 27 suspended pendant lighting fixtures in the wine tasting shop.  The office for the wine tasting shop and a color consultant are among the tenants occupying spaces upstairs.

The building has exposed beam ceilings with visible utility piping and HVAC vents creating the trendy industrial look.  ‘For utilitarian purposes the industrial look actually makes maintenance easier because everything is exposed and doesn’t have to be opened to work on it”, says Richard Freitas, Knights’ Electric’s Project Manager for this project.

Aside from the Geyserville Retail Building, Knights’ Electric has worked at the Oliver Ranch and Walden Studios, which is within walking distance of downtown Geyserville.  Other recent projects that Knights’ Electric has completed with Oliver & Company include the Shomrei Torah Temple in Santa Rosa and the Bolinas Fire Station.

Jason started his career in the electrical industry in Southern California working in an electrical shop as an apprentice.  After moving to Northern California he worked for Nordby Electric as a purchasing agent and he also worked in the warehouse.  Harden then worked at Summit Electric as a purchasing agent and assistant project manager under Cedric Pigg, who is now a commercial project manager for Knights’ Electric.

Harden’s next job was in San Francisco working for Sasco Construction as an assistant project manager on the second tallest building in the city.  One Rincon Hill South Tower is a 63-story residential complex that stands at nearly 700 feet.  A second structure, One Rincon Hill North Tower has yet to be built.

“Working for Sasco was a great experience”, says Harden, “Working for a large, $750 million a year company on a large scale project like One Rincon Hill was eye-opening.”  Another part of Harden’s job at Sasco, as assistant project manager, was going out to meet prospective customers with his company’s executives.  “I wasn’t just there to listen I had to make a contribution at the meetings.  It was a real learning experience”, says Harden.  Harden also learned how to do change order estimating and he also negotiated pricing with contractors.
