Madrigal Vineyards is close to completing their new winery in Calistoga.

Located south of town on Hwy. 29, Madrigal Vineyards will crush grapes at

their new home this fall.  Previously Madrigal had produced wine off site since
1995 when they began producing Petite Sarah.  They have since added

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel.

Tank Room with High Bay Lighting

James Nolan Construction,

Inc. is the general contractor

for the project, which totals 7,000 square feet.  The winery

is basically a fermentation

room and a barrel room with a small office.  There is no

tasting room, but Madrigal Vineyard wines are available

for tastingat the Napa Wine Company’s Cellar Door on

Hwy. 29 and Oakville Crossing Road in Oakville.

Knights’ Electric installed pad

mounted switchgear next to the building near the crush area to power the winery.  Virtually all ofthe conduit in the winery is hidden behind walls or the ceiling. Someof the conduit for the outdoor crush pad runs up through the stonework that is set to a height of about four feet and runs around the entire exterior of the winery.

RESIDENTIAL
Pool House With RadioRa Lighting

Pool House Ceiling
Pool house has ceiling with recessed lighting, wall sconces, sky lights and large windows for light

When you have a 10,000 square foot house it makes sense that your pool house would be 3,000 square feet, especially if the pool house has an indoor lap pool.  That’s a partial description of a project Knights’ Electric, Inc.’s residential department is wrapping up in Shiloh Estates.

The home was built 15 years ago and the pool house, built by Boschetti Construction, Inc., has just been added.  Knights’ Electric brought in the power from the PG&E transformer with 600 feet of trenching and wiring.  Aside from the indoor lap pool, the pool house has a sauna, gymnasium, massage room, kitchenette and a hot tub, which is located outside under a veranda.

Knights’ Electric installed a Lutron RadioRa dimming system in the pool house.  “Because of framing constraints we installed a master control key pad at the pool house entrance and used the RadioRa system throughout the house’, says Scott Cameron, Residential Project Manager for Knights’ Electric.

The Lutron RadioRa dimming system operates with radio frequency signals and does not require rewiring.  Existing switches are replaced with RadioRa switches that communicate with the master controls to provide one-touch lighting control for the entire home.

The RadioRa dimming system can also be operated with tabletop controls, a handheld remote control and a clip on visor control for in an automobile to allow a homeowner to change the lighting scene when leaving or arriving home.

The pool house features Juno recessed lighting fixtures and hand crafted wall sconces that were installed by Knights’ Electric.
