A New Addition to Knights'
Knights' Administrative Assistant Sarah Allan with daughter Zoe Mae KiriazeKnights' Administrative Assistant Sarah Allan with daughter Zoe Mae Kiriaze

Visit the front office of Knights' Electric and you might be lucky enough to meet the newest member of the Knights' Electric family. Zoe Mae Kiriaze was born June 20th to proud parents Sarah Allan and Nicholas Kiriaze at a healthy 7lbs 4 ounces. Zoe has since been right there with Sarah as she carries out her work day as an Administrative Assistant at Knights' Electric.

"When Knights' says they are family-oriented, they really stand behind that. I am so lucky to be working for people who really care about and value their employees, their quality of life and their families as well. Working for good, caring people is one of the biggest benefits of working for (or with) Knights' Electric," said Sarah.

Zoe isn't the first baby to spend time at Knights'. Barbara Ragsdale's daughter, Liz, was actually the first child to spend time on property, 25 years ago. "We feel there is an easier transition for returning to work and less worries for the parent of the baby," explained Barbara, "Our employees are like family and we want them to feel comfortable returning to work without having to feel the loss of dropping off a new baby in daycare every morning". In this positive environment, the Knights' business and family continue to grow.

at Knights' Electric

Trish Jezewski, Knights' Administrative Assistant had just learned how to complete TEGG reports, one of the last steps to the TEGG routine, when she realized that she wanted a better understanding of the entire TEGG process - from start to finish. This meant leaving the air-conditioned front office of Knights' Electric to join the TEGG crew in the field.

"Trish took a great deal of interest in working with us in the most 'hands on' role possible," recalls Mike Saitone, Knights' TEGG Electrical Specialist.

She joined Mike and Frank Teuschler at Simi Winery in Healdsburg for her first on-site experience. Trish took part in the roll-out meeting, where the Knights' TEGG department met the morning before the job's start to discuss the details and locations that would need to be tested. Trish then accompanied Luka Dexter, Knights' DES Sales and Project Manager, to the jobsite. She spent the day visiting various job locations and observing TEGG testing, which requires the use of infrared and ultrasound technologies.

Trish plans to continue her TEGG education and attend the next administrative training that becomes available. Her experience as a member of the Knights' and TEGG teams has been and continues to be very rewarding, "I like the family atmosphere here and the way everyone can pull together to get something accomplished. Everyone I have worked with is an integral part of this company; each contributes in their own way, while being willing and able to help one another for the completion of the task at hand".

Traverso's Gourmet Foods & Liquors, the flagship store of Fountaingrove Village, opened in May 2009 after Knights Electric spent months providing electrical services to the project. A teamwork approach, with input from nearly everyone on Knights' staff, created a unique and functional lighting system for Sonoma County's classic store. Knights' brought modern lighting systems to brighten Traverso's old world flavors.

Knights' installed high bay fluorescent lighting in the vaulted ceiling area, nine recessed compact fluorescent fixtures, 46 recessed fluorescent lighting troffers, ran wire and set the sub panel boxes. Although the Grand Opening of Traverso's garnered a fair amount of press, it did not mark completion of the entire mixed-use center of Fountaingrove Village.

Knights' will continue to tend to electrical services as needed, for several other businesses located in the Village. Knights' not only provided the parking lot lighting for the entire project and installed feeders, Leviton media centers and tenant sub panels in each tenant space, but they were also hired by several of the Fountaingrove Village tenants for additional services.

"We are consistently pleased with the level of service and professionalism provided by Knights' Electric. Our projects have been delivered to us on time and on budget. They are both responsive and courteous and provide unwavering attention to the quality of their work," said Kim Smith of CarCo Investments, located in Fountaingrove Village.

Bell Investment Advisors, P.I.N.K (a high-end women's clothing store), The Loft (a hair salon), Fountaingrove Dry Cleaners, Centro Espresso, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, IT'S YOU! Nutrition Clinic, and North American Health Care all became clients of Knights'. Only two un-opened spots remain in the center, one will soon be filled by Santi Restaurant and the last has yet to be filled.
